On 21st March 2019, Hilde Blomme, Accountancy Europe Deputy CEO, talked at the “Disability Hub Europe for Sustainable Growth and Social Innovation” (Disability Hub Europe) during the session on “Non-financial reporting: Disability in Sustainability Reporting: Presentation of the updated Guide “Disability in Sustainability Reporting”. She spoke about the Non-financial information Directive, the work that CSR and Accountancy Europe did together (have a look at the links below) and what the European Corporate Reporting Lab at EFRAG is doing.

Disability Hub Europe is a European initiative led by Fundación ONCE co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). DHub is aimed at building a reference space (“hub”) for best practice exchange, dissemination, mutual learning and raising awareness on the binomial Disability and Sustainability.

This event will be also the opportunity to learn about the updated Guide “Disability in Sustainability Reporting”, a guide developed by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Fundación ONCE in 2015. Updated within the framework of Disability Hub Europe, in order to respond to the current GRI Standards, this guide is designed to help organizations communicate their commitment to respecting and promoting the rights of people with disabilities. This Guide, the only one of its kind, is applicable at international level and it is co-funded by the ESF.
