Public consultation on the next MFF: EU funding for the single market, and cooperation between national authorities

Accountancy Europe welcomes the European Commission consultation on its Multi-annual financial framework which covers the entire future EU 7-year budget 2028-2034 towards a focused, simple and more impactful EU budget that reflects the EU’s strategic priorities.

We focused especially on EU funding for the single market and cooperation between National Authorities. We call for appropriate funding for financial reporting and sustainability reporting together with assurance, but we also are support enhancing other objectives, like facilitating cross-border trade, protecting the EU’s customs border and fighting against cross border tax and VAT evasion and avoidance.
