What are the latest initiatives on non-financial information (NFI) assurance? How has the role of statutory auditor and independent assurance provider evolved in the EU under the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD)?
We are holding an event with the WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development) to answer those questions. We will also launch our latest publication Towards reliable non-financial information across Europe and discuss the WBCSD’s A buyer’s guide on assurance on non-financial information.
This is an opportune time to discuss this issue. The EC will be looking into strengthening assurance requirements in the upcoming revision of NFRD.
Trustworthy information strengthens confidence in companies and in markets, creating long-term value. Stakeholders voice a need for independent assurance on NFI to ensure the reported information’s trustworthiness.
More information on the programme and speakers will come shortly.
