Overall, FEE supports the underlying objective of the proposed Directive to facilitate the free provision of services in the internal market. However, FEE also upholds the need, when considering freedom of movement and freedom of provision, to differentiate between the regulated areas (which do vary from country to country) and non-regulated areas of the profession’s activities. In practice, it is also relevant to make a clear distinction between regulated profession and regulated activities. Such distinctions help to identify the most appropriate corresponding instruments to facilitate freedom of movement and of service provision.
