Current restructuring and insolvency proceedings can be lengthy and costly. Preventing insolvency or granting second chance to ‘honest’ entrepreneurs who do not succeed the first time improves the business environment and stimulates growth of jobs. Entrepreneurs in financial distress should have access to appropriate and timely assistance.
Accountancy Europe has been closely following and contributing to the debate on the European Commission’s proposed Directive on EU Business Insolvency. The Directive focuses on preventive measures which we consider as a key development for Europe’s economy.
Join our event to discuss the difficulties ‘honest’ entrepreneurs may face in today’s market as well as the opportunities the Commission’s proposal offers to improve the current insolvency regimes around Europe.
