CSRD readiness: building trust through sustainability assurance

Accountancy Europe and the European Contact Group (ECG) organise this roundtable to debate the readiness of preparers, assurance providers, and regulators/enforcers for the upcoming sustainability reporting and assurance obligations. Our focus is the need for collaboration between EU stakeholders on this journey.

We will discuss:

• working towards the readiness of preparers (and assurance providers and enforcers), and its expected impact on assurance
• prerequisites for limited Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) assurance
• what a limited CSRD assurance report will look like
• the expected impact of qualifications in the assurance opinion on users such as investors, the stock market, and regulators
