Accountancy Europe is the voice of the European accountancy profession. We represent 1 million accountants, auditors and advisors as the umbrella organisation of their professional bodies. We translate their daily experience to inform the EU and global policy debate.
We are looking for a full-time sustainability intern to support our sustainability-related projects for a period of six months, with a possibility to extend it to a year.
Your responsibilities
- monitor EU legislation and follow sustainability related developments at European as well as international level
- support the work on sustainability-related projects (CSRD implementation, sustainability reporting and assurance, including the respective standards, green bonds, ….)
- carry out research on sustainability-related topics, prepare policy briefings
- attend EU affairs events and stakeholder meetings (on an ad hoc basis)
- provide support in organising events/meetings
Your profile
- You are a university student/have a university degree, preferably in an area related to business and/or sustainability or EU public affairs
- Legally able to work in the European Union
- Able to come to our Brussels-based office on a regular basis (with WFH flexibility)
- Interested in EU Affairs and sustainability-related topics
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1/C2 level)
- Computer savvy (MS Office), flexible and detail-oriented
- Willing to learn and able to manage work independently as well as part of a team
- Able to take ownership of their projects and see them through
